Halloween Chex® Mix from Pillsbury®

By The eat food NOT money cookbook (Visit website)

There are lots of Halloween parties going on tonight and tomorrow night but it's still not to late to throw together some great party (or anytime if you ask me) snacks! This simple recipe from my Pillsbury newsletter takes a classic and turns it Halloweeny :)

What you'll need:
8 oz white chocolate baking bars, coarsely chopped
4 cups Corn Chex® or Rice Chex® cereal
2 cups bite-size pretzel twists
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup candy corn
1/4 cup orange and black candy decors (these are the "sprinkles" that have Halloween shapes and can be found on the baking aisle of grocery stores)

In large microwavable bowl, microwave chopped baking bars uncovered on High 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth. Gently stir in cereal, pretzels and raisins until evenly coated. Stir in candy corn and decors. Spread on waxed paper or foil until cool and chocolate is set, about 30 minutes. Break into chunks. Store loosely covered. For a cute touch, serve in Halloween decorated paper cupcake liners like shown in the picture. Makes 18 (1/2 cup) servings.

Cost:
baking bar - $2.12

cereal - $3.69

pretzels - $1.00

raisins - $1.59

candy corn - $1.00

decors - $1.69

Total - $7.00
