Her first haircut...

Today Grace had her first haircut. It was time. She had hair falling in her face and lots of uneven hair in the back. She did great and had a fun time. I know Grace felt very special and that made me happy.


I love this look. She was SO SERIOUS throughout the haircut. A little boy was sitting in the next chair. He was fussing and crying. I think Grace kept trying to figure out why he was so unhappy. She did not know if she should be happy or scared. (Please note... Grace's pink lovey, Bear- Bear, is sitting in the chair with her.

She laughed when the hair dryer was used. She said it tickled.

Here is a picture of her ponytail, bow, and "princess glitter". She was so cute and happy!

This final picture was taken outside the "Snip Its" children's hair salon. That place was great. Grace even received a special "My First Haircut" certificate. How great is that? >

I am sad my husband was not with us for this big event. I took many pictures and sent pictures to him through the haircutting process. (He had given me the go ahead to do this without him. ) I am glad my twin sister, Lana, was able to share in this moment with Grace and I.


I am linking this post to my blogging friend, Amy. She hosts Finer Things Friday. Having those special "first" moments with my daughter are priceless. I feel so blessed to have her in my life. I thank God for giving her to us, know that she is gift from Him, praying Grace will undestand, at an early age, how priceless she is to us.
