HOMEMADE BREAD
I like this recipe because even if you would never attempt to make bread you can do this!! There's no kneading all. Just a few easy steps and you have delicious homemade bread that no store can compete with!! I even made two kinds, apricot nut and cheese, to show you how versitile this one recipe is. Add anything you want to it, serve with some tea or wine and your guest will be so impressed. Be the king or queen of any kitchen when you pull this bread out of the oven!!! YOU WILL NEED: 5 cups flour 4-tsp sugar 3-tsp salt 2 packages dry active yeast 1& 1/2 cups-milk 1 stick butter 6 eggs APRICOT-NUT BREAD: 1/2 cup-dried apricots 1/2 cup- dried cranberries 1/2 cup- chopped pecans CHESSE BREAD: 1/2 to 1 cup-cheese(choose your favorite) Extra to sprinkle over the top You'll need two 5x9 inch pan greased really well, some plastic wrap, and 2 clean kitchen towels. PREHEAT OVEN 350 WATCH ME MAKE THIS YUMMY RECIPE!!! Prepare dough....... 1. In a saucepan, combine butter and milk, heat until butter melts.( Do Not Let Mixture Boil) 2. In a bowl, mix together 3 cups flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. 3.Temper the eggs with some of the milk mixture, beat lightly. 4. Add in the remaining milk mixture and the tempered eggs to the dry ingredients. 5. Mix mixture for 3 minutes. 6. Add in remaining flour, mix well with clean hands until everything is well combined. Let's mix it up..... 1. Divide the batter equally into 2 bowls. 2. In one bowl add dried apricot, dried cranberries, and pecans, add cheese to the other bowl. 3. Cover each bowl with plastic wrap and the towel loosely. 4. Let sit a room temperature for 55-60 minutes. 5 Then stir each mixture and place in the greased pans. 6. Cover with plastic wrap and a towel, let mixture rise again at room temperatre for 25 minutes. 7. Sprinkle the cheese bread with extra cheese. 8. Bake for 45 minutes. 9. Let cool for 15-20 minutes. The butter........ 1. Divide a stick of softened butter into 2 bowls. 2. Add dried herbs to one bowl and honey to the other bowl.(make it to your taste.) ENJOY!!!! COOKING TIPS: *A cooking timer is very helpful for a recipe like this. *It is important to grease the pans really good to avoid sticking. *Even though it might be hard, you must let the bread cool so that it comes out without tearing. * Leftovers are sooo good. Warm in the microwave for 20-30 seconds, then spread on butter, honey, or hummus and you good to go!! related searches : Homemade
