Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo? World?s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest 2011

On Saturday night, after three days, over 221,000 barbecue lovers, over 400 cookin? teams, and some of the most awesome aromas ever smelled anywhere on the planet, Houston?s Reliant Park Livestock Show and Rodeo World?s Championship BBQ contest came to a delicious end, with our own Texas Pepper Jelly?s CEO Craig Sharry as the Grand BBQ Champion!

Congratulations to the Texas BBQ Rub cooking team for finishing 5th in brisket and 9th overall out of 409 teams at the Houston Rodeo BBQ Cook-off.

HOUSTON, TX ? The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo? World?s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest experienced record crowds, breaking the 2010 attendance record of 221,229 people. A final attendance number will be available today. More than 400 barbecue teams participated in the 2011 World?s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest, Feb. 24 ? Feb. 26.
