How to make Dry Fish Pickle

Ingredients:



Dried mackerels - 5 nos.

Turmeric - 2 inch, whole

Cumin - 1 tsp

Ginger - 2"

Garlic - 1 pod

Kashmiri mirch - 10

Vinegar - half bottle



Method:



Clean the fish and wipe it with a cloth. Cut it into small pieces.



Ground the rest of the ingredients with vinegar and make a fine paste.



Soak the fish in this paste. Tie the mouth of the jar with a cloth to keep it tight.



Tip: When needed you can remove the fish and shallow fry it till done.



Serves as a good side dish with khichdi or dal rice.
