How To Make Filipino Maha Blanca

Maja Blanca is an all-time Filipino favorite dessert during family gatherings and special occasions and it?s very easy to make. To prepare this dessert, you can use any of the three different types of coconut milk ?fresh, canned, or powder. A lot of version but you can try mine!

Ingredients:

1 cup cornstarch
1 can corn kernels
2 cups coconut milk
1 small can evaporated milk
1 cup condensed milk
cheese (optional)
macapuno strips (optional)
peanuts

Preparation : In a mixing bowl, throw in cornstarch, sugar and coconut milk. Stir the ingredients until the ingredients are blended well. Add corn kernels, cheese and macapuno strips. Boil over slow heat, stirring constantly to prevent lumps until the mixture is clear for about 10 minutes or until you see that it has thickened. Remove from the heat and pour into a baking dish. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top and let it cool before putting it inside the refrigerator. Chill out for about an hour. Cut into desired sizes and serve. Enjoy your yummy dessert! Eat smakelijk!
