Hubby's No Bake Cake and The Real Yakiniku Day!

By Cravings of the Newlyweds (Visit website)

No spinach post yesterday, no post yesterday.. excuses excuses..It's my birthday! I absent-mindedly forgot on my last post, so let's skip the spinach thingy and forward to my birthday story..

10 pm of Feb 26, hubby and I went out for some walk to 7-eleven. We bought some snacks, which we ate as we walked back home, oh and it's raining and yes, we are sipping and  munching under the rain. We waited for a few more hours for 12mn, ate my first cake, a tiramisu, and went to sleep..

1st cake- Tiramisu

Feb 27, we woke up at around 8am..some quick breakfast, did some sweet dance and prepare ourselves for our weekly grocery thingy, rode our mighty bike and head to our favorite grocery store. Love the air at it sweeps my hair, love the heat of the sun, love the morning breeze. We parked our bicycle and went first to the bakery store, hubby talked with the staff as I roam and check those freshly baked goodies and picked some pizza, which we ate as we walked back going to the grocery store. Love the pizza, it's mozarella, fresh tomatoes and basil. We did our thing and bought our weekly food supply, went home, I take some quick nap, hubby arranged the grocery stuff in the fridge.

Woke up before 1pm , I called my sister, talked to my mom (they are in the Phils).. ohh..how I love hearing their voice, missing them so much. Then we went out again and now off to the appliance store. We rode a bus this time. did some shopping.. and yes, the last stuff to complete our crib..a new vacuum cleaner, and a yakiniku plate, hope you still remember our yakiniku story.. Anyway, we stopped at the sushi restaurant and grab some plates, at last I can now eat raw stuffs, oh.. salmon is really good!

We got home at 6pm, hubby went out to buy stuff for our yakiniku. I checked my FB account and oh..lots of messages, thank you guys!, and checked our website's email and got our very first message which made my day extra more happy, thanks dear for your sweet and touching letter, if you could only see how I smiled reading your message.

Ok.. hubby's back, he got me a cake, sweety sweet hubby (that's why he talked with the bakery's staff, cakes here are made to order, a reservation is needed) he bought packs of beef for our yakiniku.. and set up the whole thing ( because I really really love it, really love it!), thanks beh.. My  sweet in-laws called and greeted me, then we are off to the feast!

hubby's no bake cake-- because the baker did! : )

We love eating pizza, hubby loves sushi and is teaching me how to love it too.. And We LOVE Yakiniku. Beef here are so yummy, really.. we can't help but adore every bite of it, it can made me dance, ok a few steps, but really... I thought TV actors/actress are overacting when tasting a Yakiniku beef, but NO really, it's really that good that unconsciously you can over react. Now we wonder what else does a Matsusaka beef , tastes, its the most expensive beef in the world! and its here in Japan!. ok...after finishing all the stuffs, hubby set the cake, I made a wish and blew my candle..Called my dad (he's working in Africa), hearing him and talking with him made everything complete, I really misses my family, knowing that they are healthy and safe makes me happy.

Thank God for another year of appreciating life's beauty..

I love how my birthday turns out, love the messages, the sweet notes, surprises and the treats (from hubby's eat all your faves treat, to my mom's spaghetti that she cooks for my day, didn't have a taste though), love the feeling of enjoying every bits of it, from the fresh air, cool breeze, sweet prick of the sun, to the voices of my love ones, to my husbands hug until the moment I blew my candle, wishing not only for me but to all those who completes me..
