I love Indian food!

By G is for gluten. (Visit website)

Ok, I haven't been a very faithful blogger recently. Sorry.
Let me make it up to you by showing you this gorgeous little tin:

I went to a new little fruit and veggie shop on Monday, following a tip off from a friend that they had Indian foods there. Thankfully we found the place. When we did, oh boy, did we have fun walking around and just sniffing! Not in a gross way. No. I just love the smell of spices!

I've been looking for this red dye for ages, but, being unable to drag my lazy bum all the way into the Indian supermarket, [did I say I'm lazy?] I finally discovered this place which is relatively close to where I live.

Woo hoo! Red dye! Red curries! - and now that I've handled it, red fingers to match!
I like Red.

Coeliac sister has been telling us to buy big tubs of curry paste for ages. I finally agree with her, but am yet to taste the goodness that is within! [ok, this is actually Thai, but it is curry...]

Yup, it's gluten free. I am loathe to open this bag, I can only imagine the carnage if I'm wearing white.

We're not a "whole spices family." - But we are now, or soon will be! Look, whole cloves!

Chick pea flour - this is good stuff.

Whole cardamom pods. I put some in the curry on Monday night and forgot to take them out before serving, not-so-little brother bit into one... you should have seen his face. I think he liked it, because his reaction was "WOOAH!" with a huge grin.

When Monkey sister [yeah, pseudonyms are awesome] agreed to come shopping with me, she stipulated that we buy poppadoms. She loves them, and so do I.

They're gluten free! Woo!

Methi leaves, my curries will be complete with some of this! Yes!
