I?ve Had it with Movie Critics

No offense to movie critics really? it?s just that I?m really shallow when it comes to movies and I have no professional background whatsoever so what I?m about to post, this is just me.

It has become a habit to read some critics? review before I decide whether or not to watch a movie. When a movie seems interesting and the critics says it?s bad, I end up not watching the movie at the cinema and just watch dvd afterwards or not watch the movie at all. Either way, I end up regretting my decision because there will always be this someone who?ll tell you that the movie was great.

But when I like the movie so much, I skip the reading the reviews part and watch the movie first before I read the critics? review ? this is what I did with Transformers and am very thankful that I did watch the movie because a movie like Transformers 2 can?t possibly be 19% right?! I mean COME ON! It can?t be that BAD!?

Anyway, what happened with 2012 is a different story. Because I love end-of-the-world movies so much and couldn?t wait till weekend, I read up some movie critics? reviews for some spoilers and they said all bad things imaginable. They were very effective that I almost ended up not watching the movie. Good thing a friend of mine said the movie is good so hb and I gave it a shot and we are grateful we did because watching the movie was one hell of a ride! I think it is one of the most realistic end-of-the-world movies out there and believe me, I?ve seen a lot!
