As most of you are aware of the fact that this is the month of Ramadan ? the month of Quran; as well as the month of delicious foods, family & friends gathering, and also a month of blessings and lots of prayers. Last weekend I held an iftar party for girls only at my place. What a day, I must say!! I ended up inviting 45 girls and 32 showed up. There was a lot of chit-chatting, catching up with our busy schedule and a lot of giggles and laughter ? and there was some great food, as well. And did I mention that I spent the whole day in the kitchen as well. Our menu was fantastic and had all the girly items as well. For iftar, obviously some dates and fruits ? banana and apples; after short iftar we all did our prayers and had a log iftar afterwards. The long iftar menu was Dahi bade, Bhel, Fruit Salad (or custard), and yummy-scrummy chicken-cheese sandwich. For dinner, we served Chinese noodles and Chinese Fried Rice. Wow ? my stomach is growling again ? help!!! I am fasting!!!!
At this point I want to go ahead and thank two beautiful women in the house who helped accomplished my goal ? mom & sister-in-law ? Thanks so much for all your help!!!
