I'm a Closet Baker
I think bakers are amazing individuals. That being said, I am not very amazing! I think I lack the special touch one must have to always deliver soft cookies, tall bread, or tasty muffins. But alas... I always try. I made some peanut butter cookies for my neighbors and friends the other day. {Not as a punishment --I swear!} My neighbors have been so incredibly helpful the past few months and I wanted to show my appreciation. What better way than homemade cookies! Peanut Butter Cookies- Ingredients: 1/2 cup peanut butter 1/4 cup shortening 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 egg. well beaten 1 cup sifted flour 1 tsp. soda Cream peanut butter and shortening together. Add sugar gradually, continuing until mixture is light and fluffy. Add beaten egg. Sift flour and soda together, add, mix well. Drop mixture by teaspoon on cookie sheet. Press down with tines of a fork. Bake 10-15 minutes at 350* F. To my surprise, these cookies turned out pretty darn tasty! Plus it was an easy recipe to follow. {that always helps!}
