In The Beginning... My Beginning
My entire childhood consisted of whole grains, brown rice, beans, lentils and a ton of salads. B-O-R-I-N-G to a child. I would go to my friend's houses after school and WHAT was this? They had oddities such as Kraft Dinner and Wonder Bread! Anyhow, I didn't appreciate this way of growing up until I was.... well... grown up.
So, be that as it may, I was also never one of those SKINNY girls. You know the ones! That girlfriend (we have all had them) that complains about her FAT BUTT, even though you are not sure WHAT her problem is. I always assume that they KNOW they don't look FAT in those PANTS and they are really just fishing for compliments. Or maybe they are insecure. I, on the other hand, was SURE my BUTT was FAT. I would NEVER have drawn attention to that fact by announcing it to everyone. Anyhow, like I said... I was never really skinny, but not really fat either. A little chubby I guess you would say. That is until I became a teenager. Then I grew up; not out, and everything was just FINE. Except, by that point in my life, about when I was 17 years old, I had moved out of my parents house and was relishing in the EVILS of Kraft Dinner and hot dog weiners. A few years later, I was married and with a child. I was 20 years old, and had become about 50 pounds overweight. Time do do something. Time to start figuring out how to eat, and how to exercise. That is where my journey to "healthy" began... This is me at 17 years old. OH! OMG! What FUN we were having! And then at the bottom you can see me (without a head) about 50 pounds heavier.
