Indian Fish Fry/Chepala Vepudu/Meen Fry/Machli Fry
![]() Ingredients: 5 slices of Fish (you can use any fish, but in this recipe I have used Cat Fish) 4-5 tbsp Coconut paste(optional) 3 tbsp Ginger-Garlic paste 2 tsp Red Chili powder 2 tsp Pepper powder 2-3 tbsp Lemon/Lime Juice Salt to taste Cooking Oil Method: Add 1tsp of Turmeric powder and a tbsp of Salt to the Fish slices, rub the Fish slices well. Leave for 5 minutes. Wash the Fish slices under cold water, squeeze gently and take into a mixing bowl. Now add all the ingredients, mix well and gently coat the Fish slices. Then keep it aside for 20-30Min's. Heat 1tbsp Oil in a skillet to medium heat. Add the marinated Fish slices on a single layer. Keep some space between the pieces. Sprinkle Oil around the Fish when ever required. Cook on each side for a minute or until they are medium-brown color on both sides. Drain on a kitchen towel. If there are more pieces shallow fry them in batches. Can be served as Appetizer or as a side dish with steamed Rice along with Dal/Rasam. Note: You can add extra masala mixture on the top of the Fish while frying. Do not flip the fish alot while frying as it's very delicate and it will become mushy.
