Italian Sausage Meatball Heroes and Homemade Marinara Sauce

When I was growing up, a meatball sub was my favourite kind of sub.  It still is.  I love lots of sauce and gooey cheese.  This recipe caught my eye as the meatballs have only a few ingredients and no breadcrumbs, eggs or ground beef, which seem to be standard ingredients in most meatball recipes.  These just seemed so fast and easy that I had to make them.
