Jeera Milagu Rasam/Sathamadhu
Jeera Milagu rasam can be taken along with plain rice or also can taken as an appetizer like soup. All the rasam look almost the same in photographs but obviously taste different! I have tried to differentiate them :) Serves 2 Ingredients Required: Tamrind - lemon sized Rasam powder - 1 tblsp Salt to taste Cilatro - few springs Curry leaves - few Tomato - 1 chopped Cumin Seeds - 2 tsp Pepper Corn - 2 tsp Ghee - 1 tsp To season: Mustard seeds - 1 tsp Red chilly - 2 Oil How to make? Microwave the tamrind with one cup of water for 2 minutes. Allow to cool and extract the water. Boil the water in a vessel, add the chopped tomato, rasam powder. Allow to boil for few minutes and froth would form on top. In a small pan, heat ghee and add 1 tsp of cumin seeds and 1 tsp of peppercorn and grind them into a coarse powder. Add this to the rasam. In the same pan heat oil, add the mustard seeds and allow to splutter, 1 tsp of cumin seeds and 1 tsp of peppercorn and add this to the rasam. Garnish with cilantro and curry leaves. Serve hot with rice. related searches : Jeera
