Kadai paneer & Gobi mattar masala
Kadai Paneer You need 500 g paneer , cut into cubes 500 g onion ¼ cup oil 500 g tomatoes 250 g capsicums 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 2 teaspoon coriander seeds 2 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon garam masala powder 2 teaspoon salt ( or to taste ) 2 teaspoon ginger ? garlic paste Method 1, Chop tomatoes and onions and keep aside. Keep paneer cubes in warm water for 15 minutes. 2, Cut capsicums in large rings. 3, Heat oil in a kadai and add onion. Saute the onions till they become deep brown. 4, Then add cumin seeds, coriander seeds , ginger- garlic paste , salt and the remaining spices. Add tomatoes , capsicum and cook till done. 5, When the browned oil floats add paneer cubes. Cover with a lid and cook on a medium heat for about 8- 10 minutes. Gobi mattar masala You need 500 g cauliflower florets 2 onions , finely sliced 1- Inch piece of ginger , crushed 1 tablespoon poppy seeds, roasted 8 cashew nuts, powdered ½ teaspoon red chilli powder ½ teaspoon turmeric powder 1 stick cinnamon , powdered 4 green cardamoms, crushed 5 cloves , powdered Salt to taste 1 cup curd Ghee for cooking 250 g mattar/ peas , shelled and boiled ¼ teaspoon cumin seeds 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves for garnishing 100 g paneer , grated Method 1, Wash and keep the cauliflower florets in salted hot water for 10 minutes. 2, Drain out and fry the cauliflower in hot ghee till it is light brown in colour. Keep aside. 3, In a pan / kadai fry onions till they are golden brown. Add curd and grind it to a fine paste. 4, Now add all the masalas , salt, poppy seeds, ginger , cashew nut powder, cardamom, cumin seeds , mattar and fried cauliflower. Mix well . Cover and cook for 5 minutes. 5, Garnish with grated paneer and coriander leaves. Serve hot with roti/ parathas? related searches : Kadai
