Kakara Kaaya/Bitter Gourd Fry
Ingredients:- Bitter Gourd 4 Butter milk 4 tbsp Turmeric powder 1/4tsp Salt as per taste Oil 7-8tbsp Flavoured Chilly powder:- Red chilly powder 1 tbsp Garlic 2 pods (crushed) Zeera 1 tsp (crushed) Mix all the above and store in a container,can be used when ever required. How to make:- *Cut bitter gourd,add salt and mix thoroughly,keep aside for 5-10minutes *Squeeze water for each piece and boil with little water and buttermilk for 2 minutes,don't over cook it *Strain in a strainer and when cold squeeze water from each piece. *Heat oil,add bitter gourd pieces.Fry in a slow flame. *Fry till brown in colour and add the flavoured red chilly powder.
