Kate?s Kahlua Rum Coffee

There?s a thunderstorm outside. I hate thunderstorms. They creep me out.

But they also make me want to wrap myself in my favorite cashmere blanket and curl up by the fireplace with a good book and a hot tasty drink?

Speaking of hot tasty drinks (like my intro?): Here?s another mixer to keep you warm on those cold rainy nights ? and by far my favorite:

Kate?s Kahlua Rum Coffee

- 1 shot Kahlua
- 1 shot Dark Rum
- 8 oz. hot coffee (decaf recommended)
- A dollop of whipped cream (I make my own)
- A sprinkle of cinnamon on top

If you choose to whip up your own whipped cream, here?s the method I?d recommend (bartender style):

In a Tupperware container (or something air-tight), add:

- 5 oz. of fresh whipping cream
- 1 Tbs. of sugar
- 1 tsp. of vanilla extract

Combine ingredients and seal lid tightly. Then shake with all of your might until nice and thick ? but don?t shake too long or you?ll have butter.
