Katsu Kare (breaded porkchop with curry sauce)

![]() (Pork) Japanese Curry or Kare ![]() Japanese Curry Sauce Ingredients for Kare or Japanese Curry: 250 grams pork cutlets (optional) 1/2 pack Japanese curry sauce 2 potatoes, peeled and cut into bite sized 1 carrot, peeled and cut into bite sized 2 onions, chopped 1 tbsp oil Procedure: 1. In a pan, cook pork using oil, set aside 2. saute onions, until it turns soft and transparent in color 3. Add pork, the add 1/2 cup of water and let it simmer 4. Add potatoes, carrots and curry 5. stir to dissolve the curry, lower heat, bring to boil until veggies are tender. Wifey's Tonkatsu or Breaded Porkchop Tonkatsu (porkchop with breading) ![]() soft bread crumbs and breading mix (for chicken but I use it also for tonkatsu) Ingredients for Tonkatsu: 2 pcs porkchop 1/4 pack of breading mix ample amount of soft bread crumbs 1 egg white (beaten) Procedure: I usually cook the pork first with little amount of water, to shorten the frying time (honestly, to make sure the meat is well cooked) 1. dip the cooked pork into the breading mix, until its fully covered 2. next, dip it into the egg white, following procedure # 1 3. then to the soft bread crumbs 4. fry in medium heat until golden brown related searches : Katsu
