Keema Fry / Minced Meat Fry
Keema Fry / Minced Meat Fry ( A different variation of minced meat ) Serves: 4 - 6 Ingredients 450 g boneless meat or minced meat ( keema ) 2 - inch ginger, chopped 4 cloves garlic, chopped 2 onions, chopped 1 tablespoon oil Whole spices: 1 bay leaf 1 - inch cinnamon stick 6 cloves 6 small cardamoms Spice powder: 2 teaspoons coriander powder 1 teaspoon cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder Mix with 2 tablespoon water 1 cup chopped tomatoes Salt to taste For Seasoning: 1 teaspoon cooking oil 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 2 dry red chillies 1 spring curry leaves 1 teaspoon onion seeds ( kalonji ) 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves Method Place ginger, garlic, meat and onion in a processor jar and mince finely ( or mix minced meat with chopped onion, garlic and onion ). Heat oil add bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom and fry for 1 minute. Add minced meat mixture and fry for 3 minutes. Add diluted spice powder mixture. Saute on a low heat for 2- 3 minutes. Add tomatoes and season with salt. Cook until dry, 15 - 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and pour in a serving dish. Heat 1 teaspoon oil and add all the seasoning ingredients except coriander leaves. When cumin begins to turn dark brown color, pour over cooked meat.
Serve with boiled rice / bread / chapati as a side dish. Garnished with chopped coriander leaves. related searches : Keema
