Kick the Can

By Curly Top (Visit website)

You find yourself lying on the floor surrounded by empty cans and bottles lifting a shaking hand to grab another hit from the twelve pack. ?This is the last time,? you promise yourself, ? The very last time.?

At all started out innocently enough. A drink when you?re out with friends. A little pick-me-up after a long day at work or a stressful night with your significant other. But before you know it one can turned into two, two turned into three, and suddenly you couldn?t make it through your day without getting your fix.

And now you find yourself here.

Alone in the night.

With nothing but your Diet Coke addiction to keep you company.

You?ve heard the horror stories of what it?s doing to your insides. Turning your small intestine into a curly, twirly mush and doing a magic act on your tooth enamel. And you have a slight feeling that all of those bubbles are actually traveling through your blood stream and up into your brain where they will wait silently until they eventually explode, shattering your skull and causing grey matter to decorate the walls of your bedchamber.

You?ve tried to give your addiction the boot, but something always brings you back to the elixir of carbonated life. (Should anyone come across a DCA meeting in the LA area feel free to give me a ring.)

Until now.

My friends, I?ve found the cure to all of life?s problems and the answer to world peace.

Allow me to introduce you to Zevia; the calorie and sodium-free, Stevia-sweetened, decaffeinated, dyeless; diet soda.

Not only was the company kind enough to send me my very own six-pack, but they also included a mini cooler that will be perfecto for carrying me little lunches (Make sure to check out this little guide to packing an actually edible midday meal).

I can honestly say that NO sample mailed to the curly chateaux has ever excited me quite this much. The flavors include:

Natural cola is awesome, natural twist made me want to shout for joy, and natural orange twist brought back disturbing memories of 2nd grade science camp, but all in all I am madly in love with this product.

Lucky for you Zevia is being picked up by more and more supermarkets and is now carried in many Albertsons and Whole Foods Markets.

My name is Emily and I have been Diet Coke-free for five whole days.

Please feel free to share you recovery stories below.
