Congrats Emily! Enjoy your new dishes, or whatever else you end up picking! Please email me at izzy23x [at] yahoo [dot] ca so I can forward your info to CSN and so you can get your giftcard. Thanks again, CSN Stores!

And now for something completely different delicious:

[[ Looks plain enough, but after several days straight of boring pre-breakfasts and cold yoghurt messes, hot oats were a beyond welcome addition to my rotation. Kept it KISS with PC Steel Cut Oats cooked in Silk plain soy milk. In the mix: fresh strawberries and raspberries; wheat germ; flaxmeal; almonds; cinnamon ]]

Bombe.

I wanted to thank you lovies for your encouraging words on the job front. I’m very, very happy to say… I quit! Granted, I’m still there until atleast the 19th, and I may stay on until the end of August (with very limited hours), but I jumped ship and told the boss-man. Truely, this was agonizing for me leading up to the moment. It was like the heaviest weight on my chest. I was so nervous to hear his reaction. I don’t know why! Maybe I try to please too much, maybe I’m too sensitive. Either way, I was just so unhappy there by the time I quit that I felt there was no sense in staying in such a toxic environment. The night before, I was even on the verge of tears, thinking about how unhappy I am and every rude person on the phone was just one more kick in the shins.

Happy to say, boss-man took the news well. I explained my situation – leaving out ED, obviously, I emphasised how I need to keep my other job for the benefits (leaving out the part about how I actually like that job) and how I need to focus on school and my internship (leaving out the part about wanting to have some sort of a social life as well). He actually pretty much begged me to stay on! For the first time ever in a long time working there, I felt appreciated. Shoulda thought of that, earlier, Boss-man!

Right now, I just need to suck up the next week and a half, plus some, and I’m gooood to go with a newer, better job that makes me happy and a new school year, that I intend to kill.

I’m very happy right now :)

Speaking of social life, I may just be getting one. I don’t talk about zee boys much on the bloggie since…well, they just don’t come around much, to be honest. Well in the past two weeks, I’ve been asked out twice by two (pretty cute) boys! Haven’t been able to go out with either yet, obv, but I fully intend to! Truthfully, I’m not sure I “gel” with either (I had coffee during my break at work with one and I wasn’t so much into him when we go talking…it was hard to escape, though…he knows where I work!!!). Who know’s what’ll come out of it all. I’m just excited to get out of this rut ED created and get out and have something of a life. Meet people – get out – challenge myself (no doubt food’ll be involved – as it tends to be in real life!).

I’m sorry about this random post today. I mostly wanted to post the winner of the giveaway as I had promised and I don’t have much else to post about! I plan on doing some baking during the weekend (no days off, but atleast I’m not working 5AM-11PM), so that’ll most defs be in the next one! ;) Till then, I guesssss you’ll have to settle for some of these yummy eats ;P

[[ The Quinoa Curry Bowl returns!!! For lunch this time: quinoa cooked in chicken broth with curry + spices, topped with a TVP mix featuring nooch, broth, flax (amazing thickener - lovee), red pepper, yellow pepper, tomatoes and topped with more nooch. Orange you glad I didn't say pumpkin? Well, there was pumpkin in there too. Sorry. ]]

[[ Following my fudgey-brownie fix sparked by Katie's Fudge You Protein cake, I decided to steal my madre's Deep Chocolate Vitamuffin (from Costco, y'all!) to fullfill this craving, on the go. Consensus: pretty darn yum! Except...I'm pretty sure I'd need like, three to fully satsify said craving. Can't wait to try this in oats/a yoghurt-mess! Wish I could find more flavours to try :( ]]

[[ On a rainy day, in my "studio" (aka, the sofa)... ]]

[[ Veggie stirfry featuring tofu, half an eggplant, broccolli, yellow pepper, red pepper, tomato sauce and nooch over some plain, white, nutrition-less Asian-market noodles. No fibre? No problem. I'm pretty sure those veggies over compensate, anyways. ]]

[[ One of the best ways to end a long day of tupperwarelicious eats: a sexy yoghurt mess. Jordans Supreme Muesli (soo...much...dried...fruit. Lovelovelove) with Liberte plain 2% (it's growing on me...still missin mah Greek </3), fresh strawberries and a heafty drizzzzle of Maranatha AB. Ho. Lee. Yumm. ]]

I’m off to get a hair cut! My hair is so so so so so long and over grown. It’s actually pretty bad. I just wear it in messy buns these days. I always get so nervous before haircuts – my past several have been pretty baaaaad. Here’s hoping I don’t end up with a hair disaster, just as the summer’s winding down!!! :S

Enjoy your weekends, m’loves.
