Korean Ground Beef & Kimchi Puff Pastry Rounds
I was inspired to use up my Homemade Puff Pastry this weekend. And I wanted to incorporate a Korean classic, Kimchi and ground beef for the filling. I know you're probably thinking ewww really? Yes, really. And it was actually quite delicious. The savory, spicy & tangy filling was perfect with the buttery puff pastry. Printable Recipe Ingredients 1/2 lb Grass Fed Ground Beef 1/2 Onion, Diced 1 tbsp Minced Garlic 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1 tsp Sesame Oil 1 Cup, Diced Kimchi 1 tbsp Garlic Chile Paste Salt & Pepper to taste Directions 1. Preheat your oven to 415º degrees. Heat a stainless steel pan on medium/high and add the olive oil and sauté the onions until it softens. Then add the garlic and sauté. Add the ground beef and cook until fully cooked through (you can drain some of the excess fat). Add the kimchi and sesame oil and cook until kimchi softens then finally add the garlic chile paste and sauté. 2. Using your biscuit cutter cut the puff pastry and place on a lined baking sheet. Add a spoonful of the beef & kimchi filling and then place another piece of cut puff pastry on top of the filling. 3. Bake for about 20 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden. It was the perfect afternoon snack for the hubs and I. Enjoy friends!
