Laaaaaaaaaamb Burger
I haven’t really eaten beef, lamb or pork since I was 15 (so um yeah just a few years ago), but I found myself in a quandary – I’d defrosted lamb patties for the boys – but schedules went haywire so I was left with 4 cooked patties. While I don’t feel too bad about chucking say half a cucumber – meat is a totally different thing. I do my best to avoid having to ever throw it out and usually buy it right before I use it – or order it already frozen. So I decided to eat one of the patties (EM ate half of another). In the burger is a couple of slices of New Zealand Gouda, a sauce I made with mayo, sun dried tomato puree and minced garlic, a thick slice of tomato and lettuce. On the side some bitey dill pickles. Consequences: I didn’t really get to taste it – EM picked it to bits and harassed me while I was trying to eat. Didn’t feel ill after – this morning I had my usual tummy reaction to food that’s a bit too fatty possibly. Don’t think I’ll be eating it again in a hurry – but it’s good to taste things to see if you are cooking them properly I guess! The boys will be having the leftover ones for lunch today. Tweet This!
