Lawry's Marinades Review and Giveaway

In honor of grilling season Lawry?s has created two new marinades - a Tuscan Sun-Dried Tomato and a Szechuan Sweet & Sour BBQ! Marinades are a great way to add flavor to your grilled dishes without a lot of extra effort.

I received a Lawry´s ?Get Grilling Kit? that includes both of the new Lawry´s marinades - Tuscan Sun-Dried Tomato and Szechuan Sweet & Sour BBQ - a set of skewers, seasoning salt and a marinating dish.

I went the simple route - I simply marinated chicken tenders in the marinades and tossed them on my little George Foreman (I live in a second-floor duplex, no real grill!). I served them with a salad.

The chicken came out really well. I had only marinated it for a couple of hours so I was a little worried it would be bland but it really wasn?t! Both of the flavors really infused themselves into the chicken.

I liked the Tuscan Sun-Dried Tomato best. It was zesty, bright and had great flavors. It reminded me of Italy. I could taste the tomato, maybe some garlic...it was delicious!

Scott?s favorite was the Szechuan Sweet & Sour BBQ. It had a bit of heat to it but wasn?t really spicy. It had a little bit of a smokey taste. I thought it was good too!

Overall I was really pleased with the marinades. They gave the chicken nice flavors. You could make a really simple dinner just by putting the pieces of chicken on top of a nice salad!
