Lazy Sunday

By Emily Eats Clean (Visit website)

For some reason this didn’t post lat night…….

Today, Russell and I have enjoyed some laziness.  It was soooo nice, but I still have a hamper full of laundry to be done, an empty fridge, and a sink full of dirty dishes.  However, my car did get cleaned out and so did my make-up bag.  And we took a late afternoon nap.  :)

The nap included the kitties!

Breakfast

I ate breakfast in the car this morning on the way to church

A long while back, I failed miserably with a bowl of protein oats, read about it here.  Following that post, I had some readers suggest a better way of fixing them.  I finally decided to give them another shot this morning, and was much more pleased with the results!

3/4 cup oats
1 cup water
1/2 scoop chocolate whey protein powder
small spoonful MaraNatha PB

The key to protein oats is to make the oatmeal and THEN add the protein powder.  And you see that mug of coffee in the pic?!?  Yea that somehow didn’t manage to make it to the car.  :(    Therefore, I grabbed a small cup of coffee when I got to church.

Lunch

Cafe Lola is definitely one of my favorite local restaurants.  Russell and I have visited Cafe Lola many-a-times for dinner, but never for their Sunday brunch.

Before Russell and I had decided where we wanted to eat lunch, I was craving vegetables.  BUT when I saw this brunch menu, I was immediately drawn to the Amaretto French Toast with fresh fruit.

While we were waiting on our food, a chef special was delivered to our table

These little cuties were delicious.

Now feast your eyes on THIS:

Umm hello, can a meal get any prettier or more delicious looking than that?!?!?!  Ohh and it was sooo good!

And I finally got my morning dose of coffee with this ahh-mazing breakfast.

Following lunch, Russell and I ran around town for a bit and then hit up a matinée movie.  Sunday afternoon movie = lovely!  While in the movie I snacked on a handful of almonds

I cleaned out my car when we got home from the movie and my makeup…..I think I have like 1000 eyeshadows and I wear the same one everyday!  :)   Then it was nap time…..

When we woke up, I told Russell he was responsible for dinner.  I told him it could be anything as long as I didn’t have to fix it or go get it.  :)

My chicken sandwich stuffed with veggies, that I didn’t have to fix and was just placed in front of my face, was delicious.  Thanks babe!

And following dinner and watching Cake Boss, I was having a sweet tooth.

1/3 of this bar and a glass of skim milk solved the problem.

Welp, I was supposed to be going grocery shopping, but I still haven’t decided on this weeks meals or made a list.  Guess I’ll be going tomorrow sometime.

Night ya’ll!  :)
