Degustei este Bourgogne no domingo. Leroy 2001. Excelente. Encorpado, com toques de frutas, principalmente ameixa, com um final longo. O aroma muito interessante pois apesar de se identificar a Pinot Noir, ele tem uma característica de madeira que confunde.



A Domaine Leroy é propriedade de Lalou Bize-Leroy, uma das estrelas da Borgonha. Hoje com mais de 60 anos, Lalou começou a trabalhar nos anos 60e desenvolveu muito a Maison Leroy que foi fundada por sua família em 1868.

Lalou tornou-se co-gestora da Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, mas foi expulsa da empresa por conflitos comerciais, afinal mantinha um concorrente na região.  Ela produz vinhos fantásticos, muitos com mais de 96 pontos. A produtividade de suas terras é baixa, pois utiliza o sistema biodinâmico e suas vinhas são muito antigas.
