Happy Weekend! I  am enjoying it fully as I sprinkle specs of sand throughout my bed to discover at a later date : )

I just got home from a marvelous nap in the sun, alongside the millions of Spring Breakers! That is the glory of Fort Lauderdale. And by glory I mean horror, of course. While I love to share it's offerings, this time of year, tourist season can wreck havoc on your sanity!
Thankfully, I was able to nuzzle myself in between farmers tans and rest peacefully with the sunshine.

Backing it up a bit to this morning, to what made this all worthwhile. A fantabulous Yoga session with my favorite lady, Susan
Helloo gluteus maximus!
Well, in my case, minimus, but that's another story!
I powered my practice with a Tropical Treat, chock full of exotic flavors and spices.
Today's class kicked my patooty! Girlfriend has lost some of her mo-jo this week, that's for sure! I felt a little bit drained in the fueling but energetic none the less! All the more encouragement to keep these fats a rollin.
We worked through some eclectic flows this morning, incorporating tons of backbends! Nothing like a good set of heart openers to start your day, huh? These really set me free, body and mind! The fun didn't stop there, in fact, it seemed to never end! I wasn't on top of my game today, but I guess it's just a fine example of Yoga. Yoga is always evolving, as we are ever changing. Day to day, class to class. It is of benefit to drop expectations before your practice, and go forth from a place of freedom.
Think about it, why do we get let down? I could have easily been let down by my practice today, by my "lack" of strength in certain areas. Where were my thoughts? Yesterday? What good would that have done me! It is today and that is all we know.

Afterwards, I was jonesin for some may-jah protein. I did my body well with this one! Allergy free all the way!
Toasted Sunburger in Lettuce cups with Spicy Ketchup
Cassava Chips and a juicy Orange

How exotic it was, so spicy and delicious in every sense! It was a party in my mouth that's for sure. I used the lettuce as burritos and wrapped up my burger with some Spicy Indian Ketchup I picked up at Williams Sonoma a while back. It was a perfect addition to my meal.
Those Cassava Chips I speak of can be found here courtesy of Arico Foods.
They are a wonderful Gluten (and allergen!) Free snack, and a great alternative to the lousy potato counterpart! I haven't been able to find the flavor du'jour at my local Whole Foods in quite some time, so you can imagine my excitement when I found them in a Miami location this week. They are Ginger on Fire, and made just for me. Really, me! I like to think so at least. The flavor of these spicy gems is enticing, and leaves you wanting more! It happily delivers in the crunch department, and happily lacks on the oily finger aftermath of it's potato cuz. I highly recommend these if your looking to spice it up a bit!

In sad but still kind of funny mommy news: Last night Momma-dukes and her best bud were cruising the beach on their bikes, per usual. Well, chatty cathy decided it was necessary to make a phone call, and girlfriend crashed like the Stock Market! See kids, don't talk and drive! Wish her well as she will be rocking some plaster for the next month! Eek!

I am now the honorary hair blower outer, as she is out of commission for the time being. She will be taking advantage of my blow out skeelz and just thinks she's getting a favor... ;) I come at a high price, folks.
I kid, I kid!
Im off to leave my mark, sharpie in tow!

Adios Amigos!
