Loving the bento boxes at Deli Veg, Singapore
I'm back for more bento box at DeliVeg. I'm a huge fan of Japanese food. Japanese food combines a few simple ingredients to create a tantalizing feast. It's so addictive that Malaysians and Singaporeans, in particular, would queue for hours just to dine in certain Japanese eateries. Being a vegetarian, although I am only restricted to certain items on the menu, I would also flock these eatery to satisfy my cravings. A mural of famous vegetarians :) Zakana Kats - $ 8.90 I personally like this dish a lot! The 'fis-' was deep fried to perfection and went well with the mayonnaise-like sauce. Very good value as it came with a side salad and miso soup. Claypot rice - $ 7.00 The rice was burnt when it got to our table. This was much better during our previous visit, wondering what happened =( However, kudos to the chef for actually attempting to cook the rice in the claypot though! Ebi Tempura - $ 9.00 The "prawns" tasted very "floury" and I did not find much satisfaction in this dish. Would have preferred a more springy and chewy feel. Nevertheless, the crispy outer managed to save the day. Laksa - $ 7.00 This dish is actually more appetizing than it looks, and I'm very thankful and actually surprised that Soup comes with Laksa What a weird combination! Laksa with apple soup. haha. I like the soup though, very unique on its own, a little weird when served together with laksa. =.= Apple juice - $ 3.00 A very normal glass of freshly juiced apple.
