Pasteis de nata are the best portuguese desserts ! We made a giant version of it so you can share it with all your family : todo bem ;-)

  • Giant pastel de nata - Preparation step 1Pour milk in a pan on medium heat. Add vanilla sugar and lemon peel and remove from heat after 10 minutes.
  • Giant pastel de nata - Preparation step 2Mix corn starch and sugar in a bowl.
  • Giant pastel de nata - Preparation step 3Add this mix to the milk and whisk.
  • Giant pastel de nata - Preparation step 4Add egg yolks and mix again. Thicken this mix on medium heat.
  • Giant pastel de nata - Preparation step 5Unroll the puff pastry dough in a greased mold.
  • Giant pastel de nata - Preparation step 6Pour the batter in the puff pastry. Bake 30 min at 350°F (180°C).
