I always loved burger, so does my family. This is very quick and easy burger recipe. When I am in hurry I boil potatoes and peas in microwave. So I can make this burger in very little time. I already shared with you red kidney beans burger recipe. And I will be sharing more burger recipes with you in next few months. So now it’s time for green peas burger.

Green peas – 1 cup, boiled and mashed Paneer – 1 cup, crumbled Potato – 1/2 cup, boiled and mashed Green chilies – 4 or to taste, chopped finely Cilantro – 1/4 cup, chopped finely Bread crumbs – 1/4 cup, I used panko breadcrumbs Salt – to taste Oil – for shallow frying burger patties
Other ingredients Burger buns – 8 Lettuce leaves – 8 Mayonnaise – as needed Sliced onions – 8 slices Sliced tomatoes – 8 slices (if small than 16 or as needed) Ketchup – on side or optional
Step 1: Take green peas in a bowl. Add potatoes and green paneer. Add green chilies and cilantro. Add bread crumbs. Take green peas, mashed potatoes, paneer, green chilies, cilantro and bread crumbs in a bowl. Mix well and make a ball. Divide it into 8 equal portions and roll into a patty. Heat the oil in pan on medium heat. Once hot shallow fry these patties. It should be golden brown from both sides. Now to assemble the burger, toast buns. Spread mayonnaise on bottom bun. Put lettuce leave and cooked patty. Put once slice of onion. Top it up with sliced tomato. Add ketchup if needed. Then close the bun and serve immediately.
Step 2: Notes I preferred to use panko bread crumbs, if you get hands on it. It is seasoned Japanese style bread crumbs which give nice flavor to it. Green chilies amount is to taste. You can deep fry the patties, but I like to shallow fry for healthier version. Without deep frying still it taste great.
