1/2 bunch Palak / Spinach
1/2 cup Moong Dal / Pasi Paruppu
1 cup Cooked Rice
2 tsp Haldi
2 tsp Cumin Seeds/Jeera
4 to 5 Green Chillies
1/2 cup Grated Coconut
6 - 8 petals of Garlic -crushed
Salt to Taste

Preparation:
Boil palak and moong dal in a cooker and keep it aside. Grind together grated coconut, green chillies and cumin seeds. Heat a pan and add the boiled palak and moong dal, add water if required because later on rice would be added to it.Cook for 5 mins.
In a small pan heat oil, put jeera, the grinded mixture of coconut, green chilies and cumin seeds and then add crushed garlic .Now pour this tadka to the boiled moong dal and palak gravy.
Mix the above gravy with cooked Rice. Healthy Palak Rice is ready.
