- Heat oil in pan, add cumin seeds, onion and saute till it becomes soft. Now add the tomatoes and saute for few minutes.
- Add the chopped spring onions, salt, chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala, little water, simmer and close the lid.
- Pressure cook the toor dal till fully cooked and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a separate pan, add mustard seeds and red chillies, after spluttering, add the cooked dal to it and mix well.
- When the spring onions appears fully cooked and the raw taste is completely gone, add the above dal mixture to this and stir well.
- Saute at regular intervals till the content becomes little dry. Serve hot.
