Mandarin Martini

By Cocktails and Small Bites (Visit website)

This is an excellent time of year to purchase citrus fruit.  I was at the grocery store and found over a dozen varieties of oranges.  I  honed in on the Satsuma oranges which are better known as Mandarin oranges.  In the beginning of November, I posted a recipe for one of my favorite cocktails, Lemon Drop Martini and  I received a recipe request for something similar made with oranges.  I created this recipe with that request in mind.  I was pleased with the results!  This is a light citrus cocktail.  Perfect for any time of year.

Mandarin Martini

Mandarin Martini

Ingredients:

4 oz  freshly squeezed mandarin orange juice

(about 2 oranges per drink)

½  oz orange liqueur

2 oz   vodka

Method:

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. If you don’t like pulp, strain the orange juice.
Pour the orange juice, orange liqueur and vodka in the shaker.  Shake until well chilled.  Serve in a martini glass.

Cheers!Lisa's signature
