Meidi-Ya supermarket located at Liang Court is well known for it's huge range of imported Japanese products ranging from fresh produces, frozen products to groceries. We were shopping around the supermarket and notice most of the shoppers who really buy were the Japanese. For us local, most of the stuff seem too expensive especially the fruits. Other than the well known Japan Rock Melon that I know is very expensive, even the watermelon, grapes and mandarin oranges were shockingly priced to me. I was just wondering who will buy maybe just the Japanese or ... Will you buy? For me, definitely no even if I am filthy rich! lol! The most expensive Japan fruits that I had bought so far was Fuji apple which cost about S$5.00 for one apple during promotion at Shaw Isetan. Just for the fun of it, I snapped some photos of it.
