Minumula chintapandu pachadi ( Urad dal tamrind chutney )

1/2 Cup of Urad Dal (Minumulu)
Lemon ball size of tamrind

Seasoning

8 Red Chilis
1 tbs Musturd
1 tbs Jeera
1 tbs Methi
Hing ( Asafoetida )
1 tbs Oil
Salt for taste

1. Soak tamarind in water and kep it aside.
2. Fry Urad dal with little bit of oil till they turn light brown. Once done keep them aside.
3. Put oil in a pan and heat it. Now add Musturd, Jeera, Methi and atlast red chilis to it.
4. Once they are fried well add Hing ad keep the seasoning aside.
5. Grind the seasoning first then add soaked tamarind to it and grind well.
6. Add urad dal and salt to it and grind the mixture. ( Don't grind it to a paste. Urad dal should be seen in the chutney.)

* Serve with hot rice with a spoon of ghee. It tastes Delicious. Goes well with dosa's too...
