Mmmm, Crockpot Pot Roast
Sometimes you just need some good, old fashioned comfort food, right? This does the trick and is so easy you can’t believe it. 1 roast (Boneless chuck was on sale, so that’s what I got – any roasting meat will do) In a large pan, (or stove top safe crock pot insert) brown the meat on both sides, remove set aside, add the carrots and onions and let them brown a little Place the meat back on top of the vegetables – if you’re doing it in a separate pan, transfer the veggies to the crockpot insert and then place the roast on top. Pour the tomatoes over the meat, add the herbs ad stir a little just to make sure the herbs get into the tomatoes. Set the crock pot on low for 6-8 hours. Really, really good. Next time I’ll add potatoes and lots more vegetables. I might even make two so that everyone could have it for lunch for a couple of days. You could also add potatoes, celery, turnips, any hearty root vegetable would be great.Similar Posts: related searches : Mmmm
