Monave Minerals Review & Giveaway USA & CANADA (04/23)

If you have never heard of Monave Minerals before now is the time to check it out!!

Monave Minereals is based out of Baltimore, Md and is the brain child of Deborah Bilezikian.

Deborah has always had very sensitive skin and wanted to create hand-made cosmetic products for people just like herself and for those of different backgrounds with all different skin tones. She wanted every woman out there to be able to find natural healthy products that actually matched their particular skin tone.

Monave offers tons of different products. They carry cosmetics for your whole face, cheeks, eyes, brows, and lips. They also carry skin care products such as facial cleansers, toners, moisturizers and exfoliators. They even carry body products like cleansers, moisturizers, nail products and hair care.

Monave never tests on animals and the only animal by-product you will find in their products is beeswax. In fact 95% of Monave products are vegan. They specialize in natural, mineral products that are actually good for your skin.

Monave stands for “Modern”, “Natural” and “Versatile”.

Although Monave carries lots of Mineral foundations -I was very interested in finding out more about their Honey-Clay Cleanser.

This simple, soap-free cleanser is designed for skin that can’t tolerate even the gentlest soaps. Hydrating, yet effective, it can be used as a cleanser or mask. Honey is one of the most ancient cleansers, and provides moisture as well as pulling out impurities. Clay bonds to impurities and oils, and gently lifts them off of the skin without stripping it.

Since I have very sensitive skin this one sounded perfect for me.

I was fortunate enough to have received a jar of Monave Honey-Clay Cleanser to try out for this review. The product came in a lovely frosted glass jar and has the look of a high end spa product. I love that the ingredients are clearly marked on the jar.

Ingredients: Kaolin Clay, Glycerin, Purified Water, Algae Extract, Potassium Sorbate and Essential Oils of Lavender an Rosewood.. That is it!! “Looks pretty natural to me.”

The Rosewood and Lavender gives this facial cleanser a wonderful calming scent. The cleanser has a very thick and kinda gooey consistency. Very much like honey does. I was a little unsure to begin with but once I started smoothing it on my pre-moistened face I really liked how it felt on my skin. The instructions on the jar suggested using a circular motion when applying so I did. A little mini facial massage is always good. Because you moisten your face first the consistency changes and thins out while applying it. I learned that a little goes a long way and it didn?t take much at all to cover my whole face. The nice thing about Monave?s Honey-Clay Cleanser is you can spread it on (avoiding your mouth and eyes) and then easily wash it off with a warm wash cloth. What is even more fun, is you can leave it on and use it as a facial mask. All you do is leave it on longer (but not more than 5 minutes) and again just wash off with a warm wash cloth. I find that it has almost a cooling effect when I use it as a mask and it is great for a quick pick me up. It does not get hard like other masks at least not within the allotted 5 minute time frame. I would also like to note that it washes away easily and leaves you with smooth fresh feeling skin. You can definitely feel that it has removed excess oils. If you are prone to dry skin you may want to follow up with a moisturizer.

I have been using Monave?s Unscented Intensive Emollient Base.

I find that these two products complement each other very well and give me a nice balanced outcome. The Intensive Emollient Base also has natural ingredients such as Organic Sunflower Oil, Soybean Oil, Jojoba, Unrefined Shea Butter and Vitamin E just to name a few.
