Mutter Paneer Recipe
Looks like Brat will soon beat me in the recipe count in here! Matter Paneer is one of his most favourite North Indian curry of all time made by himself (what more can a wife ask for :P) and i think it is one of his best preparations ever! I have to confess that i cant cook a single meal without his help in the kitchen (tho i wud never admit this to his face) and that m truly amazed by his zest for cooking which apparently shows well in the final product. I think the happiest days of our married life have been the ones we cook together and we make a great team (m sure he wont agree on that cos we fite the most on those days, needless to say!). Anyways, here's presenting to you the recipe to mutter panneer from Brat's Kitchen!
Mutter Paneer Recipe Ingredients Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese) - 300 gms (cut into one-inch cubes) Green Peas - 1 cup Onion - 1 large sized Tomato Puree - 1 cup Green Chillies - 1 or 2 (according to taste) Jeera (Cumin Seeds) - 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder - 1 tspDhania (Coriander Powder) - 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp Butter - 2 tbsp Salt to taste Oil to saute Method Saute jeera and slit green chillies in oil, add turmeric powder and GGP. Add the chopped onions, fry in a tbsp of butter until golden brown. Mix in the tomato puree, add green peas and water if required, let it cook. Meanwhile, fry the paneer in a tbsp of butter and keep aside. Bring in all the masala powders and salt into the gravy, keep covered and cook. Meanwhile, add the flour and salt in some water until it dissolves well, stir it in. Once the green peas in almost cooked, add the fried paneer to the gravy. Simmer and let it set in, do not stir too much lest the paneer should break. Serve with hot rotis or white rice! Sending this recipe to the event ?Letz Relishh ?
