My Favorite
Well, unfortunately I still have a headache but I feel a little calmer now at least. This afternoon I practiced along with my new Holy Yoga dvd (courtesy of Miss Polly) and just loved every second. It was a very gentle hatha style class, not really one for a workout but great in its own way. I loved the scripture at the beginning and the references to God throughout. What a super concept for Christian yogis—I can’t wait to read the book! Because the class was so gentle and I ended the class wanting more, I did a sequence of vinyasa with warrior one, warrior two, triangle, half moon and revolved half moon on both sides followed by full wheel, shoulder stand and plow pose. Unfortunately still, my migraine is still present. Yoga usually kicks it but I think today all I need is SLEEP. After yoga, I made a refreshing drink using perrier, a shot of POM Wonderful and sliced strawberries. Pretty AND tasty!
Around 4:00 I took Mikan for about a 20 walk with my mom before starting dinner. On the menu tonight was linguine and clams, my absolute FAVORITE meal of all time. Its actually been my favorite meal since I was about six years old and the one dish I ask for whenever it is my turn to pick dinner. I can never get sick of it! Tonight my mom followed a new recipe she has never used before out of “The Black Dog Tavern: Summer on the Vineyard” Cookbook. It was awesome!
It actually was a HUGE plate of pasta and I didn’t finish it all but did come close. I was saving room because, lo and behold, there are more cookies everywhere!
Now, some of yall have been asking about my brother’s cookie project. Beats me if I know anything! All I know is that it is for economics class and, apparently, it is for this ongoing school bake sale. They took out a fake “loan” to get the ingredients to make all these cookies and then they learn to track their revenues and pay back the loan (i.e. pay back my mom for buying military sized packages of flour and chocolate chips from Sam’s Club). He has to bake 150 chocolate chips cookies a week for the next 6 weeks so my house is going to be very tempting. There are some things in life you just can’t, and shouldn’t, resist:
Oh my goodness, it was amazing. Hot and gooey from the oven and all. These need to get off my counter and into John’s classroom ASAP. I am off to take a bath and read in bed. Tonight I’m finishing up Captivating—I can’t get enough of this book. It is just amazing and I HIGHLY recommend it. I basically underlined the entire book because each sentence just seemed to sing to me! G’Night friends! ps—Tonight is the boy’s FIRST softball game! He is playing on a team for our church and I am so proud of him! Unfortunately the game is past my bedtime so I can’t go but let’s all wish him good luck! =) Love you, babe! related searches : Favorite
