My favorite strainer is at Aldi's store this week

By Cooking With Tien (Visit website)

I love this strainer. It had the metal bars under the basket to support bigger items like a pot of spaghetti. The previous one did not and it broke at the top of the edge. For draining hot vegetables or spaghetti, you do not have to hold the strainer with one hand while you are getting burned from the steam. Because the bottom of the strainer is lifted off the sink, the drained hot water does not come in contact with your food. It's the best price around at $6.99. I only see Aldi store advertise it once a year. see the http://www.aldifoods.com/us/html/offers/2867_12247_ENU_HTML.htm.

I used Aldi's store picture because it shows the support bars better.
