The hawk is for my brother. He is now soaring with the Angels.

I have had a lot of quite time this past week since my brother died.

I have looked over my blog and changed a few things. I have removed all the ads that were running randomly. The Amazon ads, Adsense Ads, and some others that I can't even remember putting on my blog. The reason I have done this is basically because that is not the reason I started a blog. I started my blog to share my knowledge of baking and decorating cakes.

I am keeping my two main sponsors on the blog. Foodbuzz and Birthday in a Box. I enjoy being a featured publisher on Foodbuzz. I have met many wonderful cooks on this site and I know many of my readers here are also friends of mine on Foodbuzz. So that one stays. Birthday In A Box is a great company to shop with. They have a great array of products and the quality is good as well at the prices. I have that one because it is more of a service to my bloggers than me making money with them. I use this company all the time and it is because I had them listed in my favorite vendors that they contacted me to be an associate.

It was never my intention to become a millionaire on line. I am a very hard worker. I have many jobs and wear many hats. But one of them in not trying to make money for not doing anything. That has never been my thing. I have a list of vendors at the bottom of my blog. Again, just for my readers because these are the companies that I do business with on a regular basis and I do not have any financial agreement with them for having their names on my blog. They are there because I have confidence in them and their products. I encourage you to shop with them if you need baking supplies because they are the best. And I will list others when I think they are worthy.

Now for Entrcard. I happen to be one that enjoys Entrecard. I have met many online friends through this program and I like dropping because I get to see many sites that I probably wouldn't find on my own. Also it does bring traffic to ones blog which is what you want. I don't think I like what is happening with the site now with the paid links. If they put a dual card slot up and show the EC ads and the paid ads at the same time I think it would be better. I feel that if we work hard to earn the credits to buy ads , and others are buying space on our blog, we should have a full day showing our ads and having our advertisers on our blogs for the whole day. Also, I was very shocked to see a very pornographic badge in my drop box the other day. So I don't think they are as careful with who is joining now either.

In closing. I don't want to judge those who do have ads on their blogs. This is a personal choice. I was told by a stranger that visited my blog the other day that it was hard to navigate because of the ads. That is another reason I took them off. I love my blog and my blog Friends. My goal is to promote my blog, my website and my friends. Not to make strangers rich and muddy up my blog with worthless information and junk. This world has enough junk in it. I don't want my blog to be one of them.
