My Steamy Kitchen
Another tax year filed and it is time to celebrate at home with a home-cooked meal. I didn't start preparing dinner until after our visit to the tax preparer's office but wanted something fresh and simple to cook. Steaming is always a reliable cooking technique when I need to eat in a pinch, and I absolutely use my wok to death for everything. I would go nuts in the kitchen without my wok.
A steamed salmon steak for BJ and yellowtail fish for me. Drizzled with shoyu and mirin and served with a medium grain sticky Japanese rice. Yum! I can't count the number of times I've extolled the virtues of steam cooking - so easy and healthy. I put all the ingredients together in a dish, place in wok, cover the lid, and let the steam do all the work. We even got out the ice cream maker and prepared vanilla frozen yogurt with strawberries. Now if every dinner can be home-made and served with dessert ...that would be the life! Tomorrow we will probably be eating burritos out. related searches : Steamy
