OFF TOPIC: SACRAMENTO GAS PRICES

By SACRAMENTO BLOG UNCUT (Visit website)

Although this blog is about the Sacramento restaurant scene, we all have to get there. Right?

We don't take a bus to dinner & we don't ride a bike to dinner.

We drive........

Today as I paid $3.99 a gallon for gas I thought to myself. What's going on? Is this all about the problems in the middle east? Or perhaps is it speculators doing the pump & dump thing all over again?

A couple of years ago Candidate Obama was on the campaign trail talking about clean coal technology, solar power & wind power. Remember?

Then there was the oil tycoon T. Boone Pickens talking about propane power for our vehicles. T. Boone Pickens proclaimed that there was enough propane in the United States to power all of our vehicles at a much lower cost.

He also said that it would be beneficial to our vehicles since they would run cleaner & last longer.

Fast forward two years.

Obama is our President & gas is now $3.99 a gallon.

T. Boone Pickens is nowhere to be found.

So what's the deal?

Personally I think that $2.50 a gallon is a fair price. What do you think?

Have a great weekend & enjoy a half tank for $40.00.

Peace......
