Onechanbara-wii
OK! So, first, I want to announce that I'm on-line again! Months and months ago, when I signed my lease, my landlord had promised wi-fi for our building. Well, after so long, he STILL hadn't come through. So, I got impatient and decided to pay for my own. Trust me, making attempts to do anything on my phone is a pain in the you-know-what. Anyway, I said I'd talk about Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie slayers, so here's my thought: It was... OK. I was originally thinking of buying it for the new price: 30 bucks. I'm glad I found it for only 10. I'd say the momentary thrill was worth $10, but not $30. I haven't 100%ed it or anything, but I've played enough to get a feel for it. It's fun, it really is, but after a while, it just becomes the same thing over and over again. All you're doing is waving your arms around for an hour or so and then stopping once your shoulders hurt. ![]() Honestly, I like a game with a good storyline and this is certainly lacking in that department. It starts you off asking, "Wait..what did I just miss?" right off the bat. I mean, ok, it does a small bit of narration, but it still explains little to nothing on what's going on. And then, all of a sudden, the story 'ends'. Well, it's an open ending, but it comes up abruptly with no real climax. What it feels like, is randomly flipping through a cheezy, overly dramatic, horror book, pulling out ten pages from the middle, and then only reading that segment. ![]() The graphics are good and the whole thing is pretty sexy. Of course, my thoughts on sexy are a bit biased. Both my partner and I are quite the zombie fans, but even if you don't find the zombies(there's only a hand-full of zombie sprites[are they still called sprites?] that just get recycled over and over again) , blood, and gore, sexy, the girls sure are. (well, the eldest sister's costume, albeit sexy, is still pretty stupid looking) And what's great, is that you can unlock a few other girls as well as different costumes! They each have their own story mode as well. If you don't feel like doing story mode, there's also free-play, which lets you go back through the different levels to try and complete quests, bump your score, or play two-player co-op on split-screen(that's a lot of hyphens). There's also survival mode that is just an unending slash-fest in selected arenas from the story-mode. Ultimately, I look at the game as this: If you want to spend half an hour, waving your arms around and slashing up zombies on your HD TV, with blood(you can change the color of the blood) spraying EVERYWHERE(even on your screen), then this game is worth my(your) ten bucks spent at GameSTOP. But if you want something that actually has depth, I'd suggest you stick to Resident Evil or Twilight Princess (I hear Super Mario Wii is pretty good too). related searches : Onechanbara
