This looks incriminating doesn't it? Well, don't worry, it just beet puree. I made a chocolate cake using the recipe from Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seinfeld. A close up of the batter The cake lost it's redness after being cooked My friend Natalie and I threw a little get together and made chocolate ganache cupcakes using Ina Garten's recipe (we had a bunch of extra ganache leftover and dipped pretzels in it (salty + sweet = perfect), vegetables and pita chips with roasted eggplant dip from Martha Stewart, feta cups in mini phyllo cups, And I wore my glasses for fun After dinner we went back to my grandparents home for cake Pretty... I made a slaw based off Spicy Savoy Slaw. How ever, I didn't add the chili, snow peas, or pepper. Instead, I added 1 cup of plain yogurt for some creaminess, and a 1/2 cup of dried cranberries for a hint of sweetness. I also used 1/2 head of regular cabbage and 3 or so carrot. It was great and maybe next time I would even add some peanuts or plain, unsweetened PB to the sauce for more of an Asian slaw. The finished product a tea strainer a cake plate some little candles and holders and a headband. I was very proud of myself and made ugly (but tasty) sweet potato gnocchi. I wasn't sure about cooking/freezing them so I found this site helpful. The only changes I made were I used two large (instead of four small) sweet potatoes and I didn't use a fork or anything to shape them. You can try the gnocchi pan fried...
