Onion rice
Basmati rice or sonamasoori rice - 1 cup ( I used sonamasoori rice) Pearl onion - 1 cup sliced Mustard seeds - 1 tsp Urad dal - 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp Chilli powder - 1 tsp salt to taste Method: Cook the rice and keep aside. Heat oil add mustard seeds, urad dal, turmeric powder, onion and fry well till the onion turns golden brown. Now add chilli powder, salt and fry till raw smell goes off. Then add cooked rice and mix well. Serve hot with raita. related searches : Onion
