Ingredients:
Anchovies or Boneless Tilapias-1/2kg( marinate the fish in 1tsp-turmeric, 1tsp-salt and 1tsp-lime juice for 15 mins.)
Onions medium-1 chopped
Tomato small-1 chopped
Ginger-1" inch julienned
Garlic-6 cloves thinly sliced
Green chilles-2 broken into half
Red chilli powder-2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1tsp
Salt to taste
Coconut milk (thick)-1cup
Oil required
Cinnamon-1"inch
Cloves-2
Cardamom-2

Preparation:
Heat oil in a pan add cinnamon, cloves and cardamom, when aroma releases add the onions, green chillies, ginger and garlic. Saute until the onions turn pink then add the tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes are mashed. Add chilli powder, turmeric, salt and a cup of water. Allow to boil, when boiling add the marinated fish and cook for 5 mins. Then add the thick coconut milk and simmer for another 5 mins.(Note- after adding the coconut milk do not cover with a lid b'coz coconut milk tends to curdle). Serve hot with Steamed Rice or Idiyappam
