Paneer Afghani
Paneer Afghani ( Cottage cheese (paneer) serves in a gravy of capsicum and tomato puree and without onion and garlic) Recipe credit - Femina Magazine, Feb 1, 1998 Serves: 4 Time required: 20 minutes You will need 400 g cottage cheese (paneer), cubed or cut into desired shape 1 tablespoon (or 1 tablespoon to 100 g) butter 4 green chillies, chopped 3 capsicums, cut into cubes 400 ml tomato puree 2 teaspoon (or 2 to 4 teaspoon) garam masala powder 80 g fresh cream (or 2 tablespoon to 5 tablespoon) 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves Extra 1 teaspoon fresh cream (optional) Method Heat butter in a pan. Add green chillies and capsicum. Stir well for 5 minutes. Add tomato puree and paneer pieces. Mix all the ingredients well. Cover with a lid and cook on a low heat for 5 minutes or until paneer softens. Add fresh cream and cook on low heat for 5 minutes or until the gravy thickens and ensuring that the paneer pieces don?t break. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves / fresh cream (optional) and serve hot with any Indian breads or Pulao of your choice. Please remove green chillies when serving. related searches : Paneer
