Penang Hammer Bay - Sotong Tepung Goreng
We just had dinner at Sungai Dua but my friend was still hungry. Well... after the meal, we hung around the dinner place to chat. By then, the clock was showing 8pm. She felt like having sotong goreng again which she once tried a few weeks ago with another friend of mine, Serene. So far, she introduced a few good places already hasn't she?
I haven't been to Hammer Bay stall before. I didn't even know there is a stall there :P Located at Queensbay Roundabout ( from Sg Nibong Bus Terminal) 12 o'clock direction. This place is pretty good. Directly by the sea side and be prepared to be swept by the tsunami. Kidding. You can also opt to touch the murky Penang seaside water :) Not long after settling at one of the table and enjoying sea breeze, a pile of Tepung Goreng Sotong was served. RM10 for a medium plate of this crispy-ly delicious mollusk. There is something in the batter which they fried the squid with. It doesn't turn soggy or hard even after becoming cold. Every sotong goreng order will be served with some sauce. Should be sweet thai chilli but non-spicy. You can ask for another plate of sauce if you want. FOC. Of course, the cat came after we finished the sotong goreng. Beautiful cat for a stray. Its soft white fur is even cleaner than our white shirt :SHammer Bay also serves rice with seafood dishes. There are 2 stalls. I ordered the sotong goreng from the stall in the picture shown at the begining. Location: View Larger Map Happy reading~ related searches : Penang
